What’s a Skin Care Mistake You’ve Made?
Oh, gosh… I’ve made many, like picking at pimples (I know, a HUGE no-no), piling on layer upon layer of foundation, concealer and powder… I could go on. Generally, when it comes to me and makeup, the less I wear at any one time, the happier my pores are. My last big skin care mistake, though, was starting a massively long multi-step process using a bevvy of brand new-to-me products within a short span of three weeks. Wasn’t a good idea! Engineers at Princeton found that by carefully shaping the area to which energy is delivered within a laser can dramatically improve the laser’s performance. The researchers developed a mathematical approach to optimizing the pattern of energy delivery to achieve a desired outcome. In the case shown, pumping energy into a diamond shape produces powerful directional emission of light from the laser. You know, there’s one thing that working for a top kitty supermodel over the past decade has prepared me for, and that’s the wrath of a toddler. If you don’t know, now you know. Demanding diva cats are just as, if not more than, temperamental than two-year-olds, and it’s a miracle this Sally Hansen Color Therapy Pink and Harmony manicure even made it through seven days on my nails, because I had to open this Doc McStuffins mini doctors’ bag at least 50 times every day! Allegedly, it’s a toy for children, but they had me fooled based on how...

WikiWand turns Wikipedia in a pretty cool site. Although Wikipedia has its faults (political bias, incomplete or erroneous articles, spreading of hoaxes, mistakes…), and can not be considered infallible, at least in Science is a good starting point to deepen into the different referenced topics, and that is why it is widely used here in Science is Beauty. I’ve been testing this application (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) for a few days and it’s really impressive. Of course the biases and failures mentioned above do not disappear, but the usability and the user experience are a lot better. And so I wanted...
